Simon Cowell just breathed out a sigh because a bunch of X-Factor contestants are going to be wailing out a karaoke version of Adele’s new single, “Hello”.

It’s breathtaking, and I can’t wait to weep to it sometime this month. The video, which is directed by Canadian wunderkind Xavier Dolan, feels like an old school 90s video. Lots of gorgeous shots of Adele crying at the sky.

Is it strange I kind of associate her music with fall and winter? Maybe because sad equals rain and snow? Whatever.

Also, is it too much to ask for a duet with Adele and her male counterpart, Sam Smith?
